It reflects what I’ve learned, what I’ve heard, and what I believe we can achieve together.

Housing

Release select parcels of City‑Owned Land for starter homes
Modernize height restrictions to support smart, attainable growth

Infrastructure

Maintain sustainable funding through an annual 1% and CPI increase to the capital levy
Strengthen long‑term planning for roads, water, and core infrastructure

Community

Expand zero‑ to low‑cost, city‑run activities for residents of all ages
Support and strengthen community and cultural events that bring people together, celebrate local talent, and build a vibrant, connected North Bay.

Community Safety & Public Confidence

Homelessness

Strengthen accountability in service delivery by working with community partners
Advocate to provincial and federal governments for sustainable funding to address health‑related crises

Public Spaces

Expand coordinated clean‑ups and maintenance in parks and along trail corridors
Continue investing in improved lighting, sightlines, and trail access points
Invest in social infrastructure and community events that keep parks, trails, and neighbourhoods welcoming and safe

Encampments & Public Drug Use

Strengthen the response protocol so encampments in unsafe or high‑traffic areas are addressed consistently
Work with police and bylaw to ensure open drug use in family‑focused spaces is not tolerated, while maintaining compassionate and legally sound responses

Smart, Sustainable Economic Growth

Market North Bay

Champion North Bay to expand and attract businesses and investments
Position North Bay as the location of choice for defence sector industries

Partnerships

Strengthen relationships with all levels of government and key ministries
Collaborate with community organizations and deepen working relationships

Unlocking Potential

Rehabilitate King’s Landing to reach its full potential as a welcoming, accessible, and vibrant public space
Create soft commercialization opportunities near the waterfront

Modern, Accessible, and Accountable City Hall

Customer Service & Digital Modernization

Introduce a response‑time policy for public inquiries
Adopt clear service standards to reinforce a resident‑first approach
Modernize City Hall’s digital tools so residents can more easily access services and information

Accountability

Establish a policy and reporting master document that guides decision‑making and timelines
Implement mandatory council training on responsible governance and budgeting
Set term and annual goals for Council, with annual public reviews on progress

Strategic Planning

Engage in defining North Bay’s future for the next ten years
Inform strategic planning through engaging the community at public‑event booths, listening exercises, community surveys, and other engagement forums
